Methyl acrylate is an organic compound with the molecular formula C4H6O2, a colorless transparent liquid with a pungent smell. Slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone, benzene.

1. Used for resin synthesis, preparation of plastic coatings and processing of leather, textiles and paper, etc., also used as adhesives
2. It is a monomer for synthetic polymers, mainly used as the second monomer of acrylic fibers, and copolymers with styrene, vinyl acetate, etc. are widely used in coatings, adhesives and other industries
3. Mainly used for warp sizing of blended fabrics such as polyester/cotton and polyester/nitrile
4. Methyl acrylate is an organic synthesis intermediate and a monomer for synthetic polymers. The copolymerized rubber synthesized from methyl acrylate has good high temperature resistance and oil resistance. Copolymerization with acrylonitrile can change the spinnability, plastic resistance and dyeability of polyacrylonitrile fibers. Copolymerized with methyl methacrylate, vinyl acetate or styrene is a good coating and floor polish. In addition, it is also widely used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, leather processing, paper making, adhesive manufacturing, paint and other industries.
