Physical properties: metallic luster, magnetic, strong hiding power, density 5.21g/m3, melting point 2265°C, boiling point 3654°C, Mohs hardness 8.5-9, close to corundum, second only to diamond.
Chemical properties: outstanding high temperature resistance, strong thermal stability, insoluble in water, difficult to dissolve in acid, relatively stable in the atmosphere, acid and alkali resistance, can improve the high temperature strength and slag erosion resistance of refractory materials.
