Sodium hexametaphosphate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula (NaPO3)6. It is a white crystalline powder that is easily soluble in water but insoluble in organic solvents. It is mainly used as a quality improver, pH regulator, metal ion chelating agent, adhesive and expansion agent in the food industry.

Used as water softener for boiler water and industrial water (including dye production water, titanium dioxide production water, printing and dyeing paste and dyeing water, water for cleaning color film copies, chemical water, pharmaceutical, reagent production water, etc.), industrial circulating cooling water water treatment agent.
Also used as corrosion inhibitor, flotation agent, dispersant, high temperature bonding agent, dyeing aid, metal surface treatment, rust inhibitor, detergent aid, cement hardening accelerator.
