Usage: Semisynthetic antibiotic. Antibacerial (tuberculostatic)
Rifampin of rifamycin class semisynthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic, for a variety of pathogenic microorganisms. Antibacterial activity. The drug for mycobacterium tuberculosis and part of the mycobacterium tuberculosis (including leprosy mycobacteria, etc.) both inside and outside the host cells have obvious antiseptic effect. Rifampicin on aerobic gram positive bacteria have good antibacterial effect, including staphylococcus enzyme production strains and methicillin resistant strains, streptococcus pneumoniae, streptococcus, enterococcus other genera, listeria monocytogenes, bacillus anthracis, gas capsule bacillus, corynebacterium diphtheriae, anaerobic bacteria, etc. For aerobic gram-negative bacteria such as neisseria gonorrhoeae, h. influenzae, gonorrhea neisseria gonorrhoeae has high antibacterial activity. Rifampin of legionella bacteria effect also good, for chlamydia trachomatis, venereal disease is lymphatic granulation is swollen, psittacosis pathogens are inhibition, etc. Bacteria have cross resistance to rifamycin class antibiotics. Rifampicin and dependent on DNA, RNA polymerase beta subunit solid combination, inhibit bacterial RNA synthesis, prevent the enzyme connected with DNA, thereby blocking process of RNA transcription, DNA and protein synthesis.
